1. Magnetic Attraction is the force that causes a magnetic pole to draw to itself an opposite magnetic pole. Thus, a north pole attracts a south pole, and a south pole attracts a north pole.

Compare, MAGNETIC REPULSION.

2. The force that causes a magnetic pole to draw to itself a piece of magnetic material, such as iron or steel.
