Let: x = the 1st number ; y = the 2nd number

y = 19 - 2x [1st]

3x = y + 21 [2nd]

Substitute [1st] in [2nd]:

3x = (19-2x) + 21

5x = 40

x = 8

y = 19-2(8) = 3

the product of the numbers is 24.
